What We’re Eating This Week
So far this week a lot of pumpkin bread and muffins have been consumed and I’m not ashamed.
What I’m Reminiscing About
How quickly summer went by! We did a lot in the last few months but I’m so ready for what the next few months have in store for us.
What I’m Loving
I’m loving this new eyebrow pencil duo from Maybelline that I picked up two weeks ago. It goes on so smoothly and blends effortlessly. It goes on more powdery but it doesn’t make a mess. I recently tried an expensive eyebrow pencil and I went through it within 4 weeks. This baby is $8 so it’s a huge win in my books.
What We’ve Been Up To
We went to Arizona a few weeks ago for the Texas Tech vs. Arizona State game. It was such a fun weekend away in the desert. I’ll have a full recap up on the blog next week of things to do, places to eat, and a few tips.
What I’m Dreading
I don’t want to get political but I’m dreading election season. As a nation we are already divided on so many issues and this puts us further apart.
What I’m Working On
Some fun upcoming blog posts, decorating my house for fall, and wedding planning.
What I’m Excited About
A very fun trip with my fiancee, my bestie and her husband in the next few weeks! I can’t wait to have a weekend getaway with my favorite people.
What I’m Watching/Reading
I can’t get enough of Blue Bloods, maybe it’s because I’m from NY, or maybe it’s Donnie Walburg but all I know is I can’t stop watching it.
Due to my addicition to Blue Bloods, reading has taken a backseat but I hope to finish Girl on the Train so I can drag Brandon to the movies. I also have to finish my travel book before my best friend getaway.
What I’m Listening To
A lot of podcasts! My favorites are, Bitch Sesh, #Girlboss, The Big Boo Cast, and Straight Up with Stassi.
What I’m Wearing
Even though Houston has yet to receive the memo that it’s time to cool off, I can’t but wear this flannel tunic. It’s so soft and cozy. (The flannel tunic I purchased is in a different color, but I love this one too!)
What I’m Doing this Weekend
Every year in Houston Stephen F. Austin (where I went to college) and Sam Houston State meet up for the Battle of the Piney Woods football game. We are not going to the game but a friend of mine hosts a tailgate every year so we will go to that.
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month
My best friend weekend getaway with our men, my first 10k, and hopefully cooler weather in Houston.
What Else Is New
Not a whole lot and it’s quite nice.
Bonus Question – What is Your Favorite Fall Food
This gluten free pumpkin bread I made on Sunday. I took some to work and it was gone before the end of the day. My coworkers keep asking me when I’m going to make it again.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Come back on Friday for the Friday Five.
