The Bachelorette – Episode 6 Recap

I have a confession to make, I missed the first half of the episode. . .but I did ask my friend Casey over at Analogy for Reality what I missed and she said not much so I don’t feel as bad.

1:1 Date

Wells got the first and only 1:1 date this week, however he was sent home mid-date. I didn’t think he would make it to the end but I also didn’t think he would be sent home during a rose ceremony.

Group Date

Luke, Robbie, Jordan, James Taylor, and Alex received the group date card. I didn’t see the beginning of this date either (insert monkey covering their eyes emoji!) but I do know James Taylor called Jordan entitled during his 1:1 time. Jordan was not happy about that and in turn broke off his friendship. That’s when I started to tune in as I did my Tone It Up workout. Multitasking at it’s finest. Luke received the group date rose.

2:1 Date

I was VERY shocked when I saw there was going to be a second 2:1 date this season. Derek and Chase were the poor souls who received this date card. They went to a dance lesson to learn how to tango. Both of the guys really got into it. Afterwards, JoJo had 1:1 time with each of them. Derek poured his heart out and told JoJo that he is falling for her. During Chase’s 1:1 time JoJo told more or less that he hasn’t been making much of an effort but he redeemed himself. Chase received the rose, and Derek was sent home while “Don’t Cry  for Me Argentina” played. Kudos to the Bachelor Interns for setting that up.

Rose Ceremony

Chase and Luke went into the rose ceremony with a rose. The following guys received a rose during the Rose Ceremony:

Then there was only 1 rose left as Alex and James Taylor stand there wondering who will get it. JoJo leaves to talk to Chris and says “I don’t want to give this rose to anyone”. Of course we are all thinking that they are BOTH going home. She come back inside and starts professing her feelings to James Taylor and Alex. . . . .then Chris walks in with an additional rose. Everyone was safe this week! I thought the additional 2:1 date was a shocker but it was really the rose ceremony.

I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Make sure to come back on Friday for the Friday Five!

Xo, Heather

  1. Did you also get the idea that Wells is probably a pretty well adjusted guy who would’ve built a romance on a firm foundation of friendship and mutual interests – but JoJo is stuck in her need for some dramatic “spark” and physical passion to her detriment? Plus, I honestly can’t figure out why she kept both James and Alex when it’s clear she’s not truly feeling either of them.
