Friday Five

ONE

On Sunday I had a fabulous brunch at Tiny Boxwoods with my blogging friend Casey. She writes hysterical blog posts about our favorite guilty pleasure TV shows like Southern Charmed, RHONY and The Bachelorette. You should check her out!

TWO

Did you see the season premiere of The Bachelorette? If you didn’t you can catch up on JoJo’s men here. We are in for a really fun and possibly bloody season for watching JoJo find love.

THREE

There is nothing better than a glass (or two) of wine and Game of Thrones after completing a lot of household chores in the Houston humidity.

FOUR

On Wednesday’s Beauty Haul I shared my favorite overnight mask that smells like frosting and doesn’t have to be washed off. You can read about it here.

FIVE

Last night I had an AWESOME spin class with Corinne. I used to hate spin classes, I thought they were so boring and they hurt my tush. Well now that Corinne introduced me to RIDE I’m HOOKED!!! It’s such a fun and super effective workout. The music is amazing, the instructors pump you up the entire time, and you leave a sweaty mess. I wish it wasn’t such an expensive habit though. Now I have to look into ClassPass.

I hope ya’ll have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. Thank you to all the members of the military who have sacrificed their lives to make our country safe. We are the home of the free because of the brave.

Thank you for stopping by!

Beauty Haul – GlamGlow

Now that I’m a bride-to-be I’ve started to up my skin care game, such as washing my face every night (well. . . almost every night), using serums, my Clarisonic and face masks. At least one night a week I like to clean my face with my Clarisonic and then put on this hydrating treatment mask by GlamGlow.

One of the best things about the GlamGlow mask is that you don’t have to wash it off afterwards, all you do is go to sleep and wake up looking like a Disney Princess. I’ve tried masks before that you have to wash off but there is always a small bit that you miss. Most of the time I don’t want the extra step.

The GlamGlow is super hydrating for your skin and makes your face feel silky smooth the moment you wake up. My skin is super sensitive and I don’t break out at all. Plus it smells like vanilla frosting! Win!

The full size tub is $69 but if that price freaks you out, get the travel size for $19. I’ve had the travel size for a while and I have barely made a dent in the product. A little bit goes a long way.

What is your favorite face mask to use?

I’m sorry this post is so late! I thought it went live earlier.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Bachelorette -Episode 1 Recap

Ya’ll I’m soooooo happy that The Bachelorette is BACK and that it’s JoJo. I love her when she was competing for Ben’s heart on the Bachelor, but I love her even more now. She was cracking me up last night with her goofy little self. I didn’t see her goofy side last season but I’m so happy it is our in full force now.

The cast of men that ABC brought in this season is ridiculous. Here are a few of their occupations, Former Pro Quarterback (Aaron Rodgers’ brother who is VERY handsome), Hipster (seriously!), Bachelor Superfan, Canadian, Former Competitive Swimmer and Erectile Dysfunction Expert (I can’t make this up). You can read up on all of the contestants here.

You can pretty much sum up the night in one word and that word is DRUNK. The guys  hit the booze pretty hard the entire time. At one point the Canadian stripped down and dove into the pool. Then to make matters worse, he hung out in his man-ties (man panties) for a while. Please sir, put your clothes back on. Thank you!

Next week I’ll pick my favorite. It’s hard to pick on the first night because some of the guys are using gimmicks, showing up in a Santa costume (I’m looking at your “St Nick”), riding in on a unicorn or talking crap about the other guys. After seeing the season preview, we are in for a wild and dramatic season on “The Bachelorette”.

Friday Five

ONE

New York Roots to Southern Boots

It’s a new month, which means it’s another visit to the food truck park for Tasty Tuesday! Last month I got Koagie Hots, and this month I got Muiishi Makirritos which was a mix between Mexican burritos and Asian. I got the Bibimbap and it was so good. It’s supposed to have pickled cucumbers, takuan (I don’t know what that is), kimchi and mushrooms but I’m boring and picky so I nixed that.

TWO

New York Roots to Southern Boots

Brandon and I officially booked our wedding! We are getting married on May 7, 2017 at The Carriage House in Conroe, TX. I couldn’t be more excited to marry Brandon and this BEAUTIFUL venue.

THREE

New York Roots to Southern Boots

This is not the best picture but last night I made Shrimp Thai Green Curry for dinner. It was good, but I don’t think there will be many more curry dishes made at Parsamo Estates.

FOUR

New York Roots to Southern Boots

On this week’s Beauty Haul I shared my favorite liquid lipstick that STAYS ALL DAY! If you missed it, you can read about it here.

FIVE

After work we are heading up to my old stomping grounds of Plano, TX to see my sweet friend Casey aka CC marry her best friend. . . and eat Sour Cream Chicken Nachos at Cafe Gecko in Austin Ranch. I’m so thrilled to celebrate this wonderful day with her and her new husband!

Now, it’s time to beat the Houston traffic and get to Dallas!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!
